Large ancient Bronze Ring with square top (holding mother of pearl?
This is a really nice ring. The four edges of the large square top are bent over to hold the stone, which, under a lens, shows multiple colours like mother of pearl. 1500 years in the ground has turned the stone cream-coloured.
The band is only very slightly bent, and can be easily straightened by a jeweller using heat, a wooden form and a hard rubber mallet.
