This coin is a dream come true. After an expensive, uninsured Constans got lost in the post in August 05, I despaired of ever finding another one.

Ex Roma Numismatics. The detail on this coin is quite amazing. See the belt and what appears to be stirrups which has slipped around the back end of the horse.

This was advertised on the website of a reliable dealer as "Colchester mint: mintmark COLC". It wasn't until I got the coin that I realised that a) the Colchester mint was long shut down by then b) they didn't use COL anyway (the mint's name was Camulodunum) and c) it was GSLG, so Lyons. Ah well, it's a nice coin and I didn't have this one.

Another nice Lyons 190. On this one the cylindrical object and palm branch in the right field are particularly clear. RIC doesn't mention these two objects and they are only found on Lyons coins.
