CATVAN278 viewsWe built the CATVAN on a Citroen DS21 chassis and used it to transport the racing sidecar outfit all over Europe. Using a fibreglass bodywork and a re-routed steering mechanism so that the driver and passenger could sit in front of the front axle, the vehicle was not only spectacular, but stable, fast and light.
The interior was fitted out like a caravan with kitchen, table, seating area and the roof could be raised for more headroom.
The CATVAN is now in the possession of a French sidecar racer.dane

CAT Puma downhill bike491 viewsThis is the CAT Puma downhill bike which Rudi built as a very small series. As far as I can remember only about 6 or 7 were built. We still have one and our son-in-law has one.
It had specially modified CAT front forks and CAT three spoke wheels. The bike, which had 10cm suspension length front and rear (almost unheard of at the time) weighs only 11.9 kg ready-to-go.

The Vari-Eze323 viewsWe built Switzerland's first Vari-Eze, designed by the brilliant Burt Rutan. We flew all over Europe in our Eze, HB-YBG and it only took just over 2 hours to fly from Grenchen in NW Switzerland to Lydd in SE England. The engine was a Continental C95, installed at the back as a "pusher".dane

CAT Puma, Scott edition360 viewsThis is the CAT Puma downhill bike which Rudi built as a very small series. This version was used by Scott Europe SA for its downhill team and won the European Championship with it. The Scott riders lovingly (?) called it "The Fire Engine" because of the red and black team colours.dane

Cat sidecar racing outfit371 viewsRudi and Dane in action in the wild days of their youth, haha.
The airscoop at the back (which was never meant to be a spoiler) was to force air into the carburettors under Rudi's chest.
This bike is in a private collection in Michigan USA.dane
